Call for Nominations on the Executive Committee and the Advisory Board 2022-2023
Hello everyone,
As you were informed the IPYC annual meeting will be held on November 30th, 2022.
On this occasion, the 10 director positions will have to be filled since our by-laws provide that the directors are elected at the annual meeting. Thus, the following positions are opened for nomination:
- Commodore
- Vice-Commodore
- Rear-commodore
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Harbor Master
In addition to these six positions provided for in our bylaws, four other positions must be filled. The Club bylaws do not provide for any specific task for these 4 other positions but the following tasks were historically assigned to these members of the executive committee:
- Membership Chairman
- House Chairman
- Grounds Chairman
- Social Activities Chairman
Each of the positions mentioned requires different skills.
Together with our 130 members and their spouses, we should be able to fill these positions with candidates with the right skills and experience, in time for the annual meeting, which will be held on November 30th, 2022.
In addition to these positions on the Executive Committee, one position on the Advisory Board, composed of 5 members, must be filled this year. You are likewise invited to apply for the Advisory Board.
The Nominating Committee is composed of the following members:
- Richard Corbeil
- Yvan Monette
- Claude Lamarre
Those interested in occupying a position on the executive committee and on the advisory board are invited to complete the attached form and send it to the president of the nominations committee no later than 5 days before the annual meeting (section 10.5 of the regulations) i.e. on November 25, since the annual meeting I repeat takes place on November 30, 2022.
To date, the Nominating Committee has received the following nominations:

- Treasurer: Jean-François Arseneault
- Harbor Master: Robert Legault
- Membership Chairman: Rudy Huber

- Grounds Chairman: Michel Deschênes
- Social Activities Chairman: —
As soon as the nominations committee receives an application, it will be posted online on the IPYC site in the News section.
I attach section 19 of our bylaws which provides for the nomination and election of directors. The applicant form for executive committee positions and advisory board member for year 2022-2023 is also attached.
